Petals


 

There are so many stunning colours and colour combinations in the world. When in a rut, nature always makes me fall right back in love with makeup. This look was inspired by flowers hence, the post title. I hope you enjoy the look as much as I enjoyed creating it. :)

FACE

 
 

 

Foundation base- boots no.7 shine free mattifying primer.

Foundation- MAC studio fix fluid NW44 & NC 45

Powder- sleek translucent pressed powder (shade: light) to the center of the face

          -MAC mineralize skin finish (dark deep) to the rest of the face

Blush- magenta madness e/s (sleek snapshot e/s palette...eyeshadows can work  as blushes and vice versa)

Contour- MAC studio fix fluid NW50

   -sleek contour palette in dark

Mac fix+ all over

Steps :

The foundation base was applied to the t-zone (forehead & nose- the oily areas)

Foundation was applied all over the face and blended in

The darker powder was applied to the hollows of the cheeks, temples and jawline

Mac fix plus spray was spritzed all over the face.

 

EYES
 

Eye shadow primer- l’oreal hip eye colour extender

Eyeshadows

Tear duct/inner corner- MAC ricepaper

Inner lid – matte yellow e/s (screwdriver-sleek curacao palette) topped with a shimmery yellow (120 e/s palette)

Middle lid – magenta (magenta madness- sleek snapshot palette)

        Outer lid – purple (purple haze-sleek snapshot palette)

        Crease- dark brown powder from the sleek contour kit

        Transition colour – MAC mineralize skin finish in dark deep

Browbone- mac studio finish conealer (nc42) to clean up the brows and highlight

Inner eye rim- zaron black velvet pencil

Lower lashline – mac rice paper, mary kay peacock blue & sleek bad gal palette deep blue (from inner to outer corner)

Mascara- sleek lash out (lower lashes)

Lashes- Ardell wispies & ardell brush-on lash adhesive(I prefer the duo adhesive!)

Brows- mac spiked brow pencil and zaron brow defining powder (the lighter brown)

Steps :

The brows were filled out with pencil and brow powder and the edges traced out with a lighter foundation blended out to prevent harsh lines.

The transition colour was applied above the crease.

The lid colours were then applied and blended. The outer lid colour was applied into the outer v and blended into the outer crease.

A brown matte e/s was applied into the crease.

The upper lashline was lined and the lashes fixed.

The inner eye rim was lined with zaron black velvet kohl liner and the eyeshadows applied into the lashline using a precision brush.

LIPS

Lip pencil- a flesh-tone brown (L.A. girl sienna)

Lipstick- Mac on-hold

Lip gloss- Zaron luxurious lip gloss in 24 carat.
