Blues-ey

Working on another person’s face after a while was fun!! She’s pretty with nice big clear beautiful eyes. I decided to do a blue smoky look on her just because…. She loved her makeover and I think I have a makeup convert as she wants to shop for makeup and learn a few tricks. We were goofing around instead of taking blog-worthy pictures- SORRY.

FACE

Foundation base- boots no.7 shine free primer.

Foundation- marykay foundation 507 to the centre and 504 to the outer edges of the face.

Powder- tara orekelewa powder palette

Blush- tara orekelewa no.26 & no.  (a coral topped with a light purply blush)

Contour & highlight- a darker powder from the tara palette & black radiance bronzer.

Mac fix plus spray spritzed all over the face

Steps :

The foundation base was applied to the t-zone (forehead & nose- the oily areas)

Foundation was applied all over the face and blended in

Powder was applied all over the face to set the foundation
The corally blush was applied first , to give warmth to the cheeks, and the purple-y blush was applied over it.

The darker powder was applied to the hollows of the cheeks, temples and jawline
The light colours in the black radiance bronzer was applied to the bridge of the nose, center of the forehead & cheekbones to highlight these areas.

Mac fix plus spray was applied to sort of melt the layers of makeup into each other to set the makeup (fresh makeup kind of looks powdery…it looks better after it has stayed on the face for a while and the fix+ spray helps achieve that look)

EYES

Eye shadow primer- l’oreal hip eye colour extender

Eyeshadows

Tear duct/inner corner- mac shroom & ricepaper

Next shade – mary kay peacock blue

Outer corner/contour - deep blue (sleek bad gal palette)

        Crease- light brown matte e/s

Transition colour – matte oranges  (sleek paraguaya palette)

Browbone- mac studio fix fluid nc42 to clean up the brows and highlight

Inner eye rim- zaron black velvet pencil

Lower lashline – mac rice paper, mary kay peacock blue & sleek deep blue (inner to outer corner)

Mascara- sleek lash out (lower lashes)

Lashes- Ardell wispies

Brows- mac spiked and zaron brow defining powder (the lighter brown)

Steps :

The brows were filled out with pencil and brow powder and the edges traced out with a lighter foundation blended out to prevent harsh lines.

The transition colour was applied above the crease.

The lid colours were then applied and blended. The outer lid colour was applied into the outer v and blended into the outer crease.

A brown matte e/s was applied into the crease.

The upper lashline was lined and the lashes fixed.

LIPS

Lip pencil- a flesh-tone brown (L.A. sienna)

Lipstick- Mac on-hold

Lip gloss- Zaron luxurious lip gloss in 24 carat.

Steps:

The lip balm was applied earlier to moisturize the lips and wiped off just before lip colour application.

The lips were lined and the lips filled in with the flesh-toned lip pencil.

The lipstick was applied and the lip gloss applied over it.

  2. Truly, the blue smoky makeover really look quite nice on her. I particularly like the steady intent glint in her eyes even when she appear relaxed touching her hair. It depicts a sign of stability and composure. So deeply moving, timeless and studious. I think she’s is a extreme sweet pretty girl, blessed with a well chiseled face and nice big clear beautiful eyes too.
